Dust Production in a Thin Dense Shell in Supernovae with Early Circumstellar Interactions

چکیده

Abstract In supernovae (SNe), where the light curves show evidence of strong and early interaction between ejecta circumstellar matter (CSM), formation new dust is estimated to take place in a dense shell gas forward shock (FS) reverse (RS). For first time, this study mechanism modeled. A set nine cases, considering variations mass pre-explosion mass-loss rates, considered, accounting for diverse nature interactions reported such SNe. single main-sequence mass, variation was manifested as H-shell star, lost due loss. We find that masses range 10 ?3 0.8 M ? , composed O-rich C-rich grains, whose relative proportions are determined by interaction. Dust post-shock characterized gradual production rate, mostly ranging from ?6 day ?1 which may continue decade, post-explosion. higher rate leads larger dust, while smaller (smaller leftover H shell) increases efficiency formed behind RS, our calculations, not subject destruction either FS or RS thus likely survive proportion than ejecta.

The circumstellar dust shell ?

A spherically symmetric dust radiative transfer code is used to model the circumstellar dust shell around IRC +10 216. Compared to numerous previous models a much larger body of observational data is used as constraints; the spectral energy distribution between 0.5 and 60000 µm, 2-4 µm and 8-23 µm spectra, optical, far-infrared and centimeter sizes and interferometric visibility curves between ...

in dense circumstellar gas

We propose a simple model for the bolometric light curve of type Ia supernova exploding in a dense circumstellar (CS) envelope to describe the light curves of supernovae 2002ic and 1997cy. The modeling shows that at the radius ∼ 7×10 15 cm the density of CS envelopes around both supernovae is similar. The mass of the CS envelope around SN 1997cy is close to 5 M ⊙ , while the characteristic time...

Circumstellar Interaction Around Supernovae

Circumstellar interaction has been observed around all types of massive star supernovae, especially at radio and X-ray wavelengths. The interaction shells in Type Ib/c supernovae appear to be moving rapidly, although SN 1998bw remains the only case for which the evidence points to relativistic expansion. Type IIP supernovae have relatively low mass loss rates, consistent with moderate mass sing...

Dust in the Early Universe : Dust Formation in the Ejecta of Population III Supernovae

Dust grains play a crucial role on formation and evolution history of stars and galaxies in the early universe. We investigate the formation of dust grains in the ejecta of population III supernovae including pair–instability supernovae which are expected to occur in the early universe, applying a theory of non–steady state nucleation and grain growth. Dust formation calculations are performed ...

Circumstellar interaction in type Ibn supernovae and SN 2006jc

I analyse peculiar properties of light curve and continua of enigmatic Ibn supernovae, including SN 2006jc, and argue in favour of the early strong circumstellar interaction. This interaction explains the high luminosity and fast flux rise of SN 1999cq, while the cool dense shell formed in shocked ejecta can explain the smooth early continuum of SN 2000er and unusual blue continuum of SN 2006jc...
